Jon Loyd, 5'8", 155 lb point guard just finished his senior year at Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas, NV. Loyd is rated as a 90 by ESPN Recruiting. According to MaxPreps.com: "Ultra quick point guard. 5'9" Senior. As a junior, was team mvp, all-league, all-region, all-state. Averaged 14 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals a game. Had 5 buzzer beaters on the year including the winning free throw with 1 second left in the state championship game. Being recruited by several division 1 schools."

The Western Nebraska Cougars have been playing without sophomore Scott Bamforth for the past 6-8 games. Bamforth dislocated his elbow in a game a few weeks ago and will miss an extended amount of time and possibly the entire season and redshirt.

John Hayward-Mayhew, 6'8", forward from Eugene, OR, is transferring to SLCC after playing his freshman year at Missouri State. He is the son of former Weber State great Stan Mayhew the current record holder for the most points scored in a game. Stan scored 45 points against Utah State in in 1977.

Out of high school in 2008 he was being recruited by Missouri State, Oregon State, U of Penn, Portland, Portland State, Rice, San Francisco & Seattle.

As a freshman at Cochise, Williams was named an honorable mention to the 2008-09 NJCAA All-America Team. He was also named to the 2008-09 ACCAC Men's Basketball All-Conference First Team. In high school, Williams was a tremendous athlete. He played football, bball & Track. He won the state title multiple times in the high jump, his personal record is 6'10". In basketball he led his team to the 5A state championship while averaging 18.6 ppg & 2.8 spg.

Franklin Session, 6'2", 160 lb guard from Los Angeles, CA, just finished up his sophomore season at Saddleback (JC) College in Mission Viejo, California. As a soph, Session's team finished the season 29-8 and made it to the California junior college championship game which they lost 69-60 to Riverside. Session had 14 points, 16 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 assists.

On the season, Session averaged 14.27 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 2.54 apg, 1.76 spg, 1.19 bpg, .44 FG% and .35 3P%. At just 6'2" he was a rebounding beast with 10 or more rebounds in 21 of the 29 games even 14 or more in 7 games.

Session graduated from Jordan High School in 2007, he played his freshman year at Irvine Valley College before transferring to Saddleback.

At Grand Prairie, Lindsey was a McDonald All American nominee, District 6-5 MVP, 2005-2006 Offensive Player of the Year, first team All District.

"Blake is a tough, hard-nosed, competitive kid. He plays extremely hard everyday and just knows how to play on both ends of the court. Byron is a 240 pound post player who is really skilled, has great hands plus he has the arm span of a 7'1" player, so he plays much bigger in the post."

"Lindsey has a high skill level. He competes every single possession whether in a game or in practice. He was just what we were looking for at the two guard spot."

Damian Lillard, 6', from Oakland, CA. Lillard is considered to be one of the top five point guards on the West Coast (according to scout.com). Lillard, will play his senior season at Oakland High. He is said to have had offers from many other bigger schools but has decided to go with Weber and has cancelled recruiting trips to those schools.
