Age: 19 Year: Freshman Position: Guard High School: Wasatch High Hometown: Heber City, Utah 2011-12 Mike Brown will play as a true freshman this year as the coaches have given him the nod prior to the season starting. High School Brown graduated from the same high school as Darin Mahoney except 7 years later. He was the 3A state MVP while averaging 19.1 points per game and helped lead his team to a 23-2 record and state title. He had a single game high of 32 points. As a junior, his team won the state title and finished with a 24-1 record while he averaged 17.1 ppg and 4.5 apg and was named state MVP. Brown also played soccer his senior year and they won the state title and he was named to the all-state first team. Signed letter of intent with Weber State in November 2010. Brown played AAU ball for the Utah Pump N Run. Darin Mahoney and former Wildcat Josh Cottle both played for the Pump N Run as well both graduated from Wasatch. Other former WSU players to play for the Pump N Run during the Rahe era include Steve Panos, Jake Orchard and Pablo Coro. | |||||||||||
