The 'Cats finished 6-5 and tied for the 2nd best Big Sky record at 5-3. WSU was tied with Montana and Sac while EWU & MSU tied with a 7-1 mark. The highlight of the season was beating #7 Montana. EWU and MSU went to the playoffs and EWU won the national title. 2010 was WSU's 3rd consecutive winning season. In Coach Mac's 5th season as head coach of Weber State's football team was the 2009 season. The 'Cats finished 7-5 and tied 2nd in the Big Sky with EWU but won the tie breaker . WSU also made its 4th ever appearance in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Playoffs and 1st ever back-to-back playoff appearances. WSU lost to William & Mary in the 1st Rd. Coach Mac's 4th season as head coach of Weber State's football team was the 2008 season. The Wildcats finished 10-4 and won the Big Sky Championship. WSU also made its 2nd ever appearance in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Playoff Quarterfinals. The 10 win season was also the 2nd ever in school history. McBride has been in the coaching profession for over 40 years, he was the head coach at the University of Utah for 13 years (1990-2002). He is from Los Angeles, California. He graduated from San Jose State and was a stand-out player for the Spartans from 1959-62 and served as team captain his senior year. He later played professionally with the San Jose Apaches of the USA League.
