Age: 21 Year: Sophomore Position: Forward High School: St. Mary's High School Hometown: Phoenix, AZ 2011-12 Sophomore, Byron Fulton, known on the radio as Lord Byron, Lord of the Rims by the Wildcat Carl Arky, will be ready for more minutes this year after a great freshman season. Lindy's Sports College Basketball 2011-12 Preview noted to keep an eye on Fulton and he is a key returning reserve. Whether or not Fulton plays as a starter, Wildcat fans will be expecting him to make a big impact as a soph. 2010-11 Was Big Sky Freshman of the Year after playing in 32 games and starting two games. Stats; 19 mpg, 7.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, .44 FG% and .48 3P%. Had double figures 11 times, season-high was 17 points against Sac State on Jan 13. Had a season-high nine rebounds twice. Fulton is one of just four Wildcats to be named Fresh of the Year. He joins Ryan Jama, Stephan Bachman and Damian Lillard. 2009-10 Sat out as freshman red-shirt. High School Was part of Saint Mary's High's 2009 Arizona 5A-1 state title. They won four conference championships during his four years. The 2009 All-Stater averaged 16 ppg and 11 rpg his senior season. Channing Frye and Jerryd Bayless are also St. Mary's alumni. | |||||||||||
